Fall..........lazy days!

Well, I have been really bad about posting here and I need to get back to it! We have been so busy with sports and getting ready for Halloween there has been no time to be here.

We just got a new camera, and me being so computer illiterate, I can't figure out how to add them on here, it just doesn't want to let me. I need to get the husband in here, aka computer wizard, to help me out. He will fix it in a flash.

With that, I am off and hopefully will have another post on here later today, complete with pictures!!!

My new Masterpiece!!!

Here is a sample picture of my new "WILD" Wedding cake. The bride is my age,(but I am not going to say what that age is!) she proposed, and was just a kick to work with. She wanted this cake so bad, and I told her I would be thrilled to do it. The picture is not good as I took it with my cell phone, but gives an idea of how fun it is. This took me about 5 to 6 hours of work, but it was so fun! (I am a messy cake decorator, don't look at the mess around on the table. I need to put a sign up in my station that says: "I am not messy, I am creative!!!)

"Maximillion"

After a few years of promises for Kyle, we finally got a puppy!!! Meet the newest member of our family...........this is Max...........Maxi.........Maximillion..............he is 3 months old, a Dapple Mini Doxie and it just so flippin' cute!!! He runs around with his short stubby legs and big paws so out of control with his ears flopping. Then you pick him up and he licks your whole face!!!! So fun!!! He and the cat, Kaiba, are getting along ok, Kaiba doesn't quite know what to think of this little thing!!!

Off to STATE!!!

Baseball season we great this year, best year yet!!!!! Kyles team did so well in regular season they made it to State in Eugene. Grammy and Papa, Uncle John, Aunt Sandra, Chessy and Josh all came down during the long weekend to see him play!!!! The team did well, took 5th out of 12 teams. We were very proud. What a awesome way to end the season!!!! Here are a few photos to enjoy!!!!!

Bathroom Remodel!!!

Ok.......after a year I finally did something with my sons bathroom. It is small, but I think it turned out nice. I am so proud I did this all by myself.............

WATERMELON!!!!!

My son discovered WATERMELON at his 1st birthday party, he had just learned how to walk, and he had watermelon in his hand the whole time!!!

Advance 9 years later, and as you can see it is still his favorite. Today I cut some watermelon and sent him out to the porch to eat it. These are the fun shots I got!!!!!

Go Yankees!

Above is a photo of the Yankee patch that is sewn on my sons valance in his "Yankee" room. Baseball season is here, and with that comes lots of practices, games, tournaments, fund raisers, and watching the Yankees on the tube, along with the annual trip to Seattle to watch the Yankees play the Mariners. We are a baseball family and we love the sport!!!

Below is a challenge I took from another blogger, Chad. Challenged to answer all the questions so here I go!!!

1. If you could spend a day with any living celebrity, who would it be and why?
I think that would have to be Ellen Degeneres. I love her look on life, her humor, and the way she can make anyone feel comfortable. I think a day with her would be fun, and uplifting!

2. If you could spend a day with any living music celebrity, who would it be and why?
My first thought would be Toby Keith cause he is my favorite singer right now. But I think I would actually have to pick Reba McEntire. She is a classy lady and I think we could have some really fun chats!
3. What place have you visited that has effected you the most and why?
Trip to Washington DC to see all the historic sites. Changing of the guards, Mt Vernon, Lincoln Memorial. Really made me feel proud, and I love learning about history.

4. Who’s the closest friend you ever had in your life thus far?
Besides my husband, that is pretty much my friend for life, obviously. However, I never would have thought that we would be close today as we were in college, but I would have to say my friend Gabe. He is always there for me, we can talk about anything, and he is just a sweetheart.

5. How did you get into Blogging?
My friend Cyndie told me I had to start a blog, so I did, and I love it!!!

6. Are you an athlete? If so, what sport do you play or have played?
I am not an athlete, I guess I am too much of a girlie girl. I love to watch baseball, especially if my son is playing!

7. Favorite movie and why?
My favorite movie of all time is "The Wizard of Oz". I have loved it since I was a little girl, although the wicked witch scared me back then. I love the whole moral of the story, that there really is no place like home, and if you go looking for happiness and for people that love you, you need to look in your own backyard cause they are always there.

8. Favorite song and why?
A Lullabye my mom taught me when I was young called "Once a Giant"

Once a giant came a wandering, late at nite while the world was still,
Seeking for a stool to sit on; he climbed a little green hill.

9. Most romantic date you’ve ever been on?
That would have to be the nite my husband proposed. He took me to a waterfall ( Multnomah Falls) and we walked around, and with the mist coming off the falls, he knelt down and said:
"Carie, I love you, will you be my wife, my lover and my friend forever?" I said yes and the rest is history!

10. What is your favorite car that you have owned?
That would be my very first car that my mom and my brother bought for me. A cute Silver 1975 Toyota Celica, with blue pinstripes and my name on the driver side door.

Wow what a start to the new year, A mess actually!!!!

January 26th, Mark got in an accident on the way home from work, totalling our Ford Escape, and taking him to the ER in an ambulance ride for precautionary measures, he is fine, just a few bruises! Luckily, this was not his fault and everything was taken care of. So, on with life..............

Then Thursday, Feb 1st is here. I go to work, not feeling great, but thinking I will be fine. I lasted 50 minutes at work, came home with bad tummy pains. Thinking it is just gas, I go to bed and think I can work myself through it. All day, my side is hurting, I end up thinking it is Appendicitis. Mark gets home, I am still in pain, we end up going for a visit to the ER, once again! After many tests in the ER, turns out I have a hernia in my belly button and my intestines are being cut off, so in for a hospital stay and surgery.

3 days later, I am home, out of work for a week, with staples in my stomach. So much for my dreams of becoming a bikini model!!!!!;) ( I don't think I have a belly button anymore!)

The week of recovery is over, we go buy a new truck for Mark, and then..............Kyle gets sick! He has a high fever, cough, headache..........he is miserable. This kid does not get sick, so this is very strange for him. He doesn't know how to be sick, tries to be happy, but you can tell he is just miserable. Poor thing, I wish I could take all the pain away.

I went back to work today, 4 hours and lite duty, and I about died. I got so tired just doing the simpliest little things. The staples are still there and driving me crazy. They get taken out on Friday.

Ok so that is 3 right? We are done, done , done. Enough for us!!! When will our lives get back to normal?? I am so ready for NORMAL!!!!!

Snow Day!!!

Fun day in the snow. Kyle got the day off of school and could not wait to get out there and play. Our driveway was a sledding hill for the morning, then it was off to the end of the street for snow football!!!! I snapped these pictures as Kyle was heading out after lunch in dry-again clothes!!!

Gingerbread House????

SO...Kyle and I made a Gingerbread house..........very cute and very fun to do!!! THEN...........

the cousins got together, and decided to put an end to the cute little Gingerbread house!!!

Here it is demolished and getting eaten. It was really yummy!!!!!

Craziness...

Boring times call for drastic measures!!! We grabbed the camera today and went alittle crazy!!!!

Pretty lights!!!!

Our first christmas in our new home. It was a big deal to put lights on the house, Mark didnt' really like getting on the roof but he did it and I was there for moral support on the ground!! He did a great job considering it was his first time. We have the pretty trees in the front yard and we will add something new next year!!! Our neighborhood really goes all out with lights, and fun to walk around and see it all.
